Islamic State Celebrates Eid al-Adha with Video of Prisoners Hanging from Meat Hooks

The Islamic State commemorated the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Adha this week with a video of jumpsuit-clad prisoners hung from meat hooks and slaughtered like cattle.

International Business Times notes the treatment of the Islamic State’s Syrian victims in the video is similar to how sheep and goats are sacrificed during the Eid al-Adha holiday:

The video, titled “The Making of Illusion,” shows people purportedly from the Der Ezzor province of Syria, a stronghold of the Islamic State group, which is also known as Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (Isis) or Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (Isil).

All the men are shown dressed in orange jumpsuits, a common trait among people in videos who Isis says are its prisoners. Many of them are blindfolded, and their hands tied behind them.

The video depicts them in what could be either a factory or a prison, while some are saying it could also be an abattoir or a slaughterhouse.

The video initially names many — if not all — of the “prisoners” who go on to be killed.

It then shows the Syrians being hung upside down from meat hooks, their hands restrained behind them with zip-ties.

At one point, two of them are also shown being carried like goats on two arms by an Isis member.

Their throats are then slit — much like how goats and sheep are cut in the halal way so their meat is deemed safe for eating by Muslims. Their “execution” happens because Isis suspects them to be spies.

The UK Daily Mail notes that these scenes of horrifying slaughter are mixed with “short clips showing actors Simon Pegg and Tom Cruise in the 2015 movie Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation.”

This was evidently done to make the point that the victims were spies working for the United States. The video also includes salutes to the ISIS terror attack on Paris and the Bastille Day truck rampage in Nice.

The Daily Mail quotes Abu Mohammed, founder of the human rights group called Raqqa Is Being Slaughtered Silently, describing the new ISIS production as “the worst video we saw.”

Much effort is invested by the Islamic State in terrorizing their victims, dragging them through the slaughterhouse and giving them plenty of time to contemplate the sight of dead men hanging upside down from meat hooks with their throats cut.

The Daily Mail provided a safe, if disturbing, excerpt from the video, which appears below. The full, EXTREMELY GRAPHIC, 12-minute clip can be seen at Heavy.com.

Sometimes, a quick beheading was the easy way out. Here, a man is pictured standing in a box, as a crowd watches his progress.

Grim & Brutal! Boxer Rebellion Execution And Torture Photos These photos of the Boxer Rebellion (1899 – 1901) are fucking brutal!!! Boxer rebels and criminals were put to death in view of the public in a very bloody way with no mercy.  These acts of brutality were done as a warning to others not to cross the state. If the man tied up in this torture device seems a little too cheerful considering his situation, there’s a reason for this. He wasn’t a prisoner.  In fact, he was a guide whom the photographer used to help demonstrate the device. A real convict on the ladder-like contraption would definitely not have been looking so serene.  Their shins would have been digging into the edge of the cross board every time they allowed their body to relax.  And they wouldn’t have been able to sit or stand but would’ve been forced to stay in that uncomfortable, hunched position for as long as the punishment dictated. The man in the photo is not a criminal. He is one of the...

THE MOST BRUTAL EXECUTION METHODS REPORTEDLY USED BY MEXICAN CARTELS.

The Most Brutal Execution Methods Reportedly Used By Mexican Cartels The Mexican Drug War - a sustained, violent conflict between powerful drug cartels and the Mexican government - has claimed an estimated 164,000 lives over the past decade.  This rampant bloodshed has torn apart cities and communities across Mexico, often taking the lives of the innocent along with those directly involved.  The Mexican cartels (The Sinaloa, Los Zetas, The Gulf Cartel, and the Knights Templar, most notably) and their known drug associates continue to escalate gratuitous acts of retaliation and often record the executions.  In 2017, the Mexican government extradited Joaquín "El Chapo" Guzmán, a known member of the Sinaloa cartel, to the US. Guzmán faces charges of murder and laundering funds.  New York prosecutors have evidence against the alleged cartel leader, including YouTube videos in which Guzmán systematically harmed and then removed the heads of rival gang members.  In a ...
